Aloha everyone! My name is Julianne Chu and I am currently Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2010. I am blessed and honored for the privilege to be a representative for Hawaii! I just recently competed for Miss Teen USA in the Bahamas on July 24, 2010. Photos are posted up in the album!

For those who want to know a little more about myself. I am a college student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I am planning to major in biology and go into the medical field. I am interested in becoming a pediatrician or a child psychiatrist. I am currently employed as a part time model, a model worker for Abercrombie and Fitch and working as a Child Care Supervisor at a daycare center. I love children and would love to help them in any way I can. I am a 2009 graduate from Kalani High School (GO FALCONS). I was a member of Kalani's Health Academy for two years, a Honor Roll student, and a member of the National Honor Society.

I have a passion for music! I love to watch musicians play and I love to play guitar and piano but I'm still learning. I was also a member of Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus (HYOC) for nine years where I sang in an ensemble and traveled to the neighbor islands to perform. Also being in HYOC, I was taught hula by my Kumu (teacher) Lauren Chang for nine years.

Achievements that I have made throughout my life time are winning first place in the Medical Photography Division for Health Occupations Students of America in 2009. I also competed in the national Health Occupations Students of America competition in Nashville, Tennessee. Aside from my academic achievements, I was a national finalist for the 2009 Wet Seal Model Search and was selected top ten to represent Hawaii for America's Next Top Model with Tyra Banks.


I am just your local girl who loves to live life to the fullest and never takes anything for granted. I appreciate the little things in life and I am the type of person who tries to please everyone. I enjoy going to the beach with my friends
